Who we are
The Wedgwood Museum is operated by the The Wedgwood Museum Trust. The Trust is a charitable body. Despite our close links and the fact that we share their Barlaston home the Trust is organisationally and financially independent of Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Ltd. Our charity number is 1072442.
The Wedgwood Museum is what is known as a 'designated collection holder'. This means that the collection we care for has been designated by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council as being of outstanding national importance.
The opening of the new Wedgwood Museum in October 2008 means that we are fully able to share the treasures in our collection with the widest possible audience. Do please come and visit - you will be assured the warmest of welcomes.
