  • Alongside the world-class collection of Wedgwood ceramics are the equally outstanding Wedgwood archives. Recognised by UNESCO and inscribed into their UK Memory of the World Register, the Wedgwood Museum’s archive hold massive cultural significance.

Described by UNESCO as ‘one of the most complete ceramic manufacturing archives in existence.’ the archive is so broad and comprehensive that it gives insight into industry, marketing, productions, fashion, taste, topical political and social contexts. Spanning from the mid 18th century to the present day, the contents of our four main archive collections provide an invaluable historical resource.
