This teacup and saucer is an example of a design created for HRH Prince Edward on the occasion of his marriage to Miss Sophie Rees-Jones in 1999. It is decorated with Bagshot pattern which is a variation of the Osborne design. The adaptation includes thistle, red and white roses in place of stylised flowers of original design. The centre of saucer has large motif of depicting a red and white ‘Tudor’ rose and five thistles and leaves around.
