Black basalt vase with Capri enamelling - 1900
This black basalt vase has striking hand-enamelled flowers in the Capri style. The red, yellow and orange petals provide a great contrast from the black basalt background and have transformed what would otherwise have been a classic, but sombre, piece. It dates from c.1900.
