The Wedgwood Museum is planning to introduce a series of Discovery Days during where attendees will receive a personal welcome to the museum and, after refreshments, enjoy a schedule of themed lecture, guided gallery tour, handling session or access to archive material.

Our first Discovery Day - Wedgwood and Tea - will take place on September 12th 2010

‘The drinking of tea is general throughout England. It is drunk
twice a day....taking tea is considered the height of English style and
has its own elaborate ritual, equipage and of course its own table.'

The day will explore all aspects of tea and tea drinking with emphasis on the vast range of wares made especially for the consumption of tea. We are also delighted that a specialist from one of the UK's leading tea blenders will present a talk and tasting session during the day.
